Common School Challenges
Many school children of all ages have difficulties at school. These can be related to anxieties about exams, tests and homework right through to bullying and relationship challenges. Often it is difficult for children to express the emotions and experiences which they find challenging. Consequently these come out in distressing ways such as pulling out hair, nervous tics, exceptionally defiant or aggressive behaviours, extreme expressions of emotion and even self-harm.
These responses can be distressing for both the children and parents.
Harvey Taylor has three of his own children and is also a foster parent. He has worked with several schools to support behaviour management and learning programmes as well as having treated individual children. He also runs NLP training programmes for teachers.
